I've recently discovered a love for hair braiding, plaits, wraps and beads. They're so effortless and add a little hippy twist to your everyday 'look' (how cheesy.)

I'm not sure about anywhere else, but hair wraps have become relatively fashionable in Australia. I can remember last having one when i went on holiday to spain when i was about 9 and i genuinely thought i was very, very cool haha. Sometimes i wonder how i had friends when i was younger. Seriously.

I found some string/embroidery cotton/i don't know what the material is called, around the house, followed this tutorial and hey presto (make sure the material is 4 times as long as your hair). It lasted for about a month and was very simple to do, i love it!

I love beads, i literally just plaited a strand of hair, shoved a few pretty beads on it and tied a small see-through piece of elastic on the end of it to keep everything put.

I was recently sent this little wonder from John Frieda and i have fallen in love with it. I'm naturally blonde and have always wanted to go a shade or two lighter but have been terrified to dye it myself or at the hairdressers, and in all honesty, lemons just weren't cutting it.

With John Frieda's Go Blonder Lightening Spay, you simply spray hair thoroughly after you wash it, and leave it to dry as normal. Instead of giving you a solid colour, it will gradually lighten your hair as if you've been on holiday for about a month and i honestly don't know how i did without it. The effects are more effective if you use heat on your hair afterwards - so straightening/blow drying it will cause it to go even blonder. By 10 uses, my hair was a whole 'shade' lighter (heat or no heat) and i will honestly be buying this forever more, and at £6.99 a bottle from Boots, it's much cheaper than going to the hair dressers. I genuinely cannot stress how amazing this is, and if you don't believe me, read the other reviews on the Boots website!

Anyway, i hope you're all gravy lovelies. It's finally starting to get hot in Australia, which means shorts, tans, beach trips, fresh fruit and swims in the sea. Oh, i love the sun.

Firstly, i sincerely apologize for not posting frequently on here - i've got a few posts lined up which means at least one a week for quite a while. You lucky things :)

About a month ago, i took one of my two trips back to England a year. I spent one week in England and the other week in Menorca with my dad and step-mum, and on the way back to Australia I stopped at Hong Kong for 8 hours! I had the most amazing time and thought i'd share some of the photographs i took.

Menorca was the most beautiful place, there were gorgeous bright flowers everywhere, it was incredibly hot and the sea was warm and calm. There were cute little market stalls and boutique shops all over the place selling leather bracelets and handmade trinkets. I had the most hilarious time, it was amazing :)

A little dream catcher for me friend Ruby, I should've got one for myself though - i'm regretting it now!

I returned to England for a few more days to spend more time with family (and to do some shopping haha) and then I hopped on another plane back to Australia, stopping at Hong Kong on the way back. I had an 8 hour stop over and my mum and step-dad stayed there for a extra week - meaning i had to fly from Hong Kong to Australia on my own. I sat next to a fat chinese man who stole my pillow and insisted on talking to me. In chinese. He was nice enough though and was very intrigued by my rubix cube solving skills.

I arrived just in time to go to the amazing night markets, where you can find every fake designer product you can imagine - i was in heaven! You have to haggle with them when you go up to the stalls, i actually loved it, i got almost everything for a third of the price they asked - just call me a master ;)

I bought a fake Mulberry Alexa (which is practically identical) for about £15, a fake little Anna Sui bag with a detatchable chain for about £8, a fake Cath Kidston phone case for £4, a little fake Links of London bracelet (unsure of the price) aaand a pretty turquoise ring for £5. Some pretty good bargains there i thought!

Alright lads!

Finally, my mid-year exams are over and my social life has resumed as normal.

It was my 16th birfdaaai last month and i had a lovely time :)

I'm getting my 'L plates' in a couple of weeks, which means i can drive with someone who has had their license for 4 years - so excited!

My Union Jack canvas arrived in the shipping container too, it looks so lovely in my room.

I've spent this weekend renovating a new house we've bought to live in here. I've knocked out walls, ripped off doors, smashed up kitchens and basically stripped the whole house back to a few of it's walls and it's roof. It's going to look amazing once the fam's put it all back together again the way we want it!

I'm going back to England to see family and friends in a few weeks - i'm so excited it's actually unreal.

I don't mean to impress you, but i can rap this song haha.

Right, i'm off to go and do my design graphics coursework, which isn't getting very far i'll be honest. I've got a designer's block and it's really not helping when the project is due tomorrow.

Holaaa!

I'm on easter holidays at last, three weeks of freedom! I've had a crazy amount of work to catch up on, it's actually insane and i'm so glad i finally have some time off to relax in the sun before it gets too cold. I went shopping today and bought a cute little black dress and some bracelets, had dinner with the family then went to my friends house for a bit.

A lovely day :)

I broke up on Thursday, and the first thing i did was paint my nails because you're not allowed to at my school - sad but true. My nail varnish is Barry M Mint Green.

This was yesterday's list of things to do, i accomplished pretty much all of them - i love home days where you can just relax!

I bought these before i left for Australia last month, they were from Topshop and were about £30.

These were my lovely flowers from Ikea which lived in my room last week, until my mum decided to move them to the kitchen and subsequently kill them. Nice one.

I'm back in Australia after a lovely two and a bit months in England, which

was amazing!

I've bought a couple of things from Lush recently and thought i'd share my thoughts on them. I haven't really purchased much from Lush before, but i've recently decided to give my skin and hair a break from all of those nasty chemicals and use products which are more natural and better for me and the environment. And the little bunny rabbits.

Lush doesn't test on animals.

My skin has been awful over the past couple of weeks, so i decided to buy a 'Fresh Face Mask'.

'Chocolate heaven for oily and teenage skin. Its action removes excess oil and calms breakouts.'

First things first, this smells horrible. I'm used to it now, but smell it in the shop first - if you can bear it then it's honestly worth putting up with it! I know some people love the smell but it's honestly not for me.

It's got a lovely thick mud-like consistency though (no surprise there, it's made out of mud). You leave it on for 10 minutes, then wash it off with warm water. Easy.

It lasts for 3 weeks and has to be kept in the fridge, otherwise the fresh ingredients it's made of will go dodgy. I'd say you get 6-7 masks out of it, so you'll get around 2 masks a week.

After using this for the first time, it softened my skin immediately and calmed redness after 30 minutes or so. After waking up the next morning i was astonished at how much better my skin looked. Using it for 3 weeks has cleared up my skin quite a lot, not completely - it doesn't work miracles, but it's really made a substantial difference.

I can officially say that these will become a permanent addition to my skin care routine - i'll be buying the blueberry one next.

I love this. It says it cleans, softens, nourishes and adds shine and body to hair, as well as being protein-rich.

You wet the bar, wet your hair, rub the bar on your head a few times and on the ends of your hair, then lather.

No bottles, no soaps, little weight, no packaging (although i bought a tin to travel with), hardly any chemicals and good for the environment. It's supposed to last for up to 80 washes - and think it will - so it's cost-effective too!

I now only use conditioner every 2 washes because my hair is so soft after using it thanks to the seaweed and sea salt (just think how soft your hair is after coming out of the sea - it's exactly the same!). It adds shine to my hair and leaves it squeaky clean, although, i can't say much for 'adding body'.

I will fault it on the fact that it takes a while to dry and you can't leave it wet in the tin, because it will go all yucky. It smells quite nice - not amazing but not disgusting either.

I don't think i'll bother with trying out any of the others, apparently some of them are quite drying and this is by far the best, according to the assistant who works at Lush. I will, however, be repurchasing this. Forever.

In Heathrow Terminal 3 they have a M.A.C counter which means i, of course, had an obligation to stop and buy something.

I've been wanting a M.A.C blusher for ages, and after weighing up my options with Elle over the phone, we agreed that Pink Swoon would be the best choice - and we were right. It's gorgeous and i love it. I'd like to get a corally-pink (hello made up word!) or a peach next :)

In case you are wondering where i have been recently, I'm back at my school in Australia after missing a month of year 11, which means i have a ridiculous amount of work to catch up on. Guess who's not going to have a life for the next couple of weeks?

These past couple of months have been non-stop, i've been so busy it's unbelievable. Between packing my room into boxes, catching up with school work and seeing family and friends i've barely had five minutes to go on the computer, let alone take photos for a blog post.

I'm flying back to Australia in a couple of weeks and i've been doing some decent shopping over here! The town i'm in has one alright clothes shop, so i've definitely been visiting some of my favorite shops ;)

These little bits are only a fraction of what i've bought so far, but i'll show you the clothes some other time.

Oh Soap and Glory, how i've missed you.

There was a 3 for 2 offer on in Boots so i was on it like sonic. You get an amazing amount of product for your money with Clean on Me and i love it. This is my second bottle - it smells great, lathers nicely with a poof thing, lasts for ages and is quite moisturizing. Although, i wouldn't say it replaces the need to moisturize your skin after use.

Glam-a-lot Body Spray is gorgeous, i can't describe scents so i'm not even going to bother - but if you like sweet scents then you'll like this. Again, this is my second bottle, it reminds me of my school in England :)

The Righteous Body Butter smells lovely, as do all S&G products, it's not too thick and not too runny. I like the fact it's in a pump dispenser which makes everything a lot quicker and easier - it's nice.

how to get a good night's sleep

More and more people are complaining about being tired and not getting enough sleep, i personally went through a large phase where it took me hours to drift off, especially before i moved to Australia. I'd be laying awake in bed until the early hours of the morning - despite the fact i'd clamber into bed at 10.30 and it was absolute torture.

♥ Prepare your environment

Make your bedroom a place for sleeping, after all that's what it's for. I love my twinkly lights around my bed, they make me feel tired and sleepy, having a smaller bedside lamp or soft lights on before you go to sleep helps you to relax. Make sure your blinds shut all outside light out, and if they don't buy a eye mask; i sleep with one every night and can't do without it! I find if i wear it, it stops any temptation for me to open my eyes haha.

♥ Before sleep...

Having electronics in bedrooms, such as TVs, phones and laptops are the main reason why people don't go to sleep earlier. For a period of time before you go to sleep, be it 10 minutes or half an hour, do something that doesn't involve anything electronic. Be it reading a book or magazine, drawing, writing in a diary or making lists. I personally like to make a list of things to do for the next day - it keeps me so much more organized! Warm bubble baths and hot drinks can also make you feel sleepy before bed, just avoid coffee after 7pm - for obvious reasons!

♥ If you still can't fall asleep...
Don't sit there tossing and turning for hours, wanting to go to sleep but not being able to. There is a reason you can't fall asleep, are you too hot, too cold, thirsty, do you need the loo? Whatever it is, sort it out!

If you still can't sleep in the middle of the night continue
the activity you were before for half an hour or until you feel sleepy.
Don't. Go. To. Your. Computer.
You think you'll just check your emails, but that leads to blogs, facebook, twitter and all the other distractions, and the bright light will wake you up even more.

♥ Waking up
If you have an iPhone or iPod, i highly recommend Sleep Cycle, i downloaded it in July 2010, forgot about it for a while, and then started using it again about a month or so ago. Even though the 'graph' is a pile of rubbish (leave it on the floor and your phone will magically create it's own graph that is you supposedly sleeping, although i do think movement alters it sometimes) it does wake you up nice and softly, leaving you feeling less grumpy in the mornings.

I saw this cool jacket in H&M the other day and bought it for £25.00 - i absolutely laaave it!

I arrived in good ol' Blighty this time last week and am oddly enjoying the freezing weather and the rain. I've seen all the fam and friends and caught up with everyone - it's been lovely :) I'm here for 6 weeks, so i've got a very strict schedule of who i'm seeing, for how long and when.

I went to Perth over the weekend and my lovely mum and step dad gave me some money to spend for my early Christmas present (only four days away, i'm so excited!)

I picked up some lovely bits and bobs and thought i'd share them all with you :)

This bikini is so adorable and i desperately needed a new one, the colour is perfect and the ruffles are just so sweet!

I decided on buying these little clean-cut shorts as i thought i'd better give my Abercrombie and Fitch ones a rest, i literally wear them everywhere. Everyday.

This top is beautiful! The lace is just so purdy, and when i first laid eyes on it it was like love at first sight.

I'm back with a little more inspiration now and i'll hopefully be posting a lot more. Be expecting that shortbread recipe you all asked for tomorrow as i'm making a fresh batch later on today. Yummmyyyyyy!

I'm off for a swim at the beach now, although i do sort of wish i was in the UK throwing snowballs at people and making igloos.

1. Today i straightened my hair for the first time in absolute yonks, and was so shocked at how it's long it is now, i haven't been noticing it as i've been wearing my hair curly! I'm wearing MAC Snob just for reference.

3. I've gotten really into baking these past few days, the shortbread biscuits were amazing - they tasted so good, and i was shocked at how easy they were to make! If you'd like me to post the recipe in time for Christmas then just hollaaa!

4. My mum bought this Hello Kitty advent calender the other day for me, it's so cauutteee and the chocolates are really yummy :) Can't get into the Christmas Spirit without an advent calendar!

i was recently sent this pretty little jumpsuit to write about from the company who supplies Topshop with their LOVE brand, and i love it (see what i did there? no?)

It's so comfortable, easy to throw on and i think it looks really sweet! i didn't think much of the fabric used though, it went all bobbly after just trip to the shops, what's going on there? for the amount of money they charge you would've thought there to be good quality material.

I found a beautiful old suitcase garage sale-ing this weekend for $10 (about £6.50) and it is now sitting in my room housing my shoes, i will show you when my room is finished :)

I've got exams in all my major subjects tomorrow and friday. oh the joy of trigonometry, convections of novels, charles darwin and rivers. I'm also challenging my brain by learning how to play chess (i'm driving my step dad mad by making excessively loud 'nom nom nom' noises every time i take a piece.)

I recently received a couple of little surprises from Eyeko.

3-in-1 Eyeko Cream

This beauty is not only a highlighter, but can also act as a moisturizer and an eye cream, although if you use it for either of the latter i'd reccommend thoroughly washing it off in the morning, or you'll look like a disco ball. I walked into school the day after using it as an eye cream and everyone was asking what i had on my face. (Shamefully i blamed it on my 6-year-old cousin, i'm a very bad person.)

I've often wondered what the big hoo hah was with highlighters, but since i've started using this it's become a permanent product in my everyday regime. I'm always worried that if i use i highlighter i'd look like 8-year-old me on the way to a school disco but this isn't the case atall! I put a simigin of this on my cheekbones it gives me a subtle and pretty glow and lifts my complex nicely, i love it :)

I'm also a sucker for beautiful packaging, and the box it comes in is gorgeous!

Frosting Fat Balm

This is a wonderful lip balm, i adore the colour, it applies wonderfully, it's very pigmented with pretty reflective particles and it smells yum! You can also use it as a blusher but i find its consistancy a little too sticky for cheeks. Also notice the cute little box it comes in!

Although, once i opened the wonderfully designed box i was a little disappointed with the the bland and sort of naff grey applicator. I think they could have spent a little longer on appearance of the actual lipstick as this is what people will actually be looking at (unless your planning on carrying around the box with you.) They're also available in lots of other colours.

I am actually a little bit obbsessed with this! It's a bright lavendery-pink colour which has the most amazing smell and consistency. Heaven in a lipstick.

I wear this when i'm feeling a little adventurous, the colour of this lipstick is wonderful! It actually comes up a lot more 'red-y' than it looks in the above photograph.

Hello loves,

I went shopping just before i left for Australia and i forgot to post these photographs of the lovely things i picked up!

These three rings were from primark, they are my absolute favoritist and never leave my fingers! They cost me around £1.50-£2.00 each.

Anybody thinking i needed some Hand Food? My fingers are looking a little dry (and hungry) in this photograph!

I thought these lovely bangles were absolutely beautiful colours and i love the golden stud one, they were £2 from H&M.

This necklace was also from H&M and was about £3, i thought it was so adorable! :)

Both of these black skirts were from H&M and were amazing value. The tight bodycon one on the left was £3 (wowee) and is made out of really good quality material and the gorgeous floaty one on the right was in the sale, i really really loves it. It was reduced from £20 to £10. Bargain? I think so.

Some people cannot stand jeans and i really don't understand why. I adore these light(ish) blue skinnies from New Look - they can easily be dressed up or down, the material is light and they are so comfy to wear. They were £20 and i practically live in them (on cool days, it reached 35˚C today and i literally almost died, i must have drunk about 3 Liters of water!)

I'm sorry to say this but i don't think i'll be blogging as much as usual over the net few weeks as i'm staying at my uncle and auntie's house for 3 weeks whilst mum and my step-dad have gone back to England.

Anywho, i just wanted to tell you all about my absolute favoritist eyeshadow palette in the universeee! I was browsing in Superdrug yonks ago and saw this bad boy in the Sleek MakeUP section and it was love at first sight. The pigmentation, quality and colours of these shadows are insane to the membrane (haha).

If you do not have this in your life, then i suggest you get your bum down to Superdrug and pick a palette up for just £4.99 (i have just been informed that they've actually increased the price to £5.99 - cheeky!), they are absolutely wonderful value and has all the colours for everyday looks and night time ones too. I live by this palette and rarely use any other eyeshadows.

Perfect Winter Nails

Hola lovelies!

I thought i'd share with you all one of my absolute favorite new nail polishes, it's from 17 and is a perfect colour for winter.

It's a gorgeous dark plum which looks purple in some lights, a deep brown in others and black in some. The consistency is lovely, it's very fast drying and 2 coats are ideal for good colour payoff although i'm not too keen on the fat brush - i have quite skinny nails and it loads a little too much polish onto the brush but other than that it's lovely.

Just wanted to let you know about HP's new 'Paparazzi' campaign

I'll admit it proudly, i am a bit of a geek. I love all things technology and all sorts of softwares and codes and other exciting things like that. Strange? Quite possibly so.

So when i heard about these new bad boys, to say i was thrilled would be a bit of an understatement. I mean, i'm a Apple Mac girl through and through but... look at these! They're so shiny and beautiful and purddyyy! If i was going to get a new laptop, and i wanted it to be a PC, these would be at the very top of my list just for purely beautiful they are!

I also thought the campaign was pretty cool and i'm really feelin' this whole 'technology mixed with fashion' vibe (nice and cheesy wording there Faye, honestly, who says 'vibe' anymore?)

I thought the video with the 'making of the campaign' was really interesting too.

Hello darlings!

I've been on a complete straightener/curler/blow dryer ban recently (other than cheekily straightening my fringe every morning... ahem) because my hair was in awful condition and i desperately wanted to get it back to it's previously healthy self!

To accompany my styling tools ban, i've been relying on one brilliant product to turn my hair from a little drab into beautiful beachy waves. I've got through two bottles of this stuff and i absolutely love it!

{please excuse the fact i have cat's whiskers and a little button nose, i was experimenting for Halloween!}

Lee Stafford's Sea Salt Spray!

When my hair is about half dry, i simply spray this around 15 times evenly over the lengths of my tresses and scrunch slightly (avoiding the roots - it makes them greasy) et voila - effortless waves are achieved!

It doesn't smell wonderful, but it's not exactly disgusting and you've got to be careful not to use too much or your hair will get greasy but this is quite easily my favorite hair care product ever. It contains lots of lovely vitamins and minerals to help keep your hair healthy, and let's face it, your locks will thank you for not using any evil heat on it!

I was recently lucky enough to be given the opportunity to try out some of No7's new Autumn Range and some other new products from the company.

Stay Perfect Matte Top Coat

£7.25

This Matte Polish is on trend this autumn along with matte-everything-else. I loved the effect this gave, and the only thing i dislike about it is that it does lighten the colour of the varnish slightly, which if you're really specific about your colours, could be a slight issue - but i don't really mind. Please excuse the sand on my nails in the below photograph, i'd just come back from the beach!

Matte Lipsticks in Nude and Purple

These lippies are very highly pigmented, smooth and have quite a creamy formulation, although the nude colour seems to slip off quite easily. The nude colour isn't quite 'nude' for my skin tone and is possibly a little darker than i'd like it to be - but that's just me!

The purple on the other hand is a gorgeous colour and i wish they'd make it an addition to their permanent line. It's so different to something which i would normally wear and i absolutely love it - perfect for halloween too! Whether i'd have the guts to wear it outside of the house is an entirely different story altogether haha. It stays put for quite a while and also looks good with as a lip stain when a small amount is applied.

Exceptional Definition Nutrient Enriched Mascara

This mascara is a permenant edition to the No7 mascaras, i've never tried any before but i've got to admit i'm hooked on this one. It's 'nutrient enriched' and contains cashmere keratin, vitamins and hydrolyzed soy protein to ensure your lashes are being nourished as mascara can often have a nasty drying effect on your lashes.

As you can see, the left side has small and fine bristles and the right has larger ones, perfect for applying your desired amount of mascara with the right side, then combing through to get rid of any clumps with the finer side.

Autumn Eye Palette

I quite like the snakeskin packaging of this, and the shadows are reasonably high quality but i just don't think i'd wear the colours all that often! I normally stick to neutral shades but if bright colours float your boat then i'd probably recommend this.

I love this new trio which includes three matte shades - Ivory, Putty and Smokey Grey. It's a perfect combination for an everyday look and with a colour for the lid, crease and out corner it's hard to go wrong - especially if you're new to shadows. I think this would be subtle enough for day time, but just as suitable for night time, love love love.

Stay Perfect Eyeshadows in Thunder and Peacock

No7 are also introducing two new single shades to their collection this fall with a beautiful teal colour called Peacock and a smokey grey appropriately called Thunder. Peackock is so beautiful and contains greeny-bluey reflects and Thunder (i absolutely adore this colour) has silver reflects in. The pigmentation of these is really high, and if you've got time i'd strongly reccomend checking these out!

I was pretty shocked and a little appauled when i saw the cover of Famous Magazine (Australian celebrity gossip mag which is full of crap but you still end up buying it anyway) a couple of months ago...

Say whaaaaat?!

Don't get me wrong, Kim K is ridiculously stunning and i'm pretty certain that the first picture was just a really dodgy shot, and Kim has said she's had no surgery but only botox. She was so beautiful in 2006 and 2007 but she has most definitely taken it WAY too far, she should have stopped ages ago. I mean, lets face it, she just looks like she's been smacked in the chops with a baseball bat.

I'm all for plastic surgery, if there's something you're really insecure about, desperately want changed and if you've got the moolah then go for it! I've got absolutely nothing against it when it really does make somebody truly happy and more confident with their appearance.

It's just when such naturally beautiful people take such drastic measures to attempt to make themselves 'perfect' but they actually end up looking 2387 times worse than they begun with.

Heidi Montag anyone?

Let's hope Kim doesn't take it as far as Heidi, who completely destroyed her appearence - she was so beautiful before her 10 surgeries in a day!

I practically live in my Abercrombie and Fitch shorts - i love them! (and because i'm trying to justify my cost per wear, they were $50!) They may be a bit big for me and maybe a little too short but i wear them constantly, and they go with everything. I think a good pair of denim shorts are a must in every ladie's wardrobe and these are my perfect pair!

Somehow i've managed to delete the only photograph i have of the front of the shorts, but you've all seen them before.

Soap and Glory

I have often mentioned Soap and Glory as one of my favorite brands, and i will undoubtedly continue to do so for a very very long time! Their witty packaging, amazing scents and wonderful products will never cease to amaze me and i have loved almost everything i've purchased from them.

I was given a Soap and Glory Hat Box by my Dad and Jennie last Christmas and i've done a review of some of the products here, but forgot to do another post telling you all about some of the other goodies!

Flake Away Scrub

This stuff is amazing and it smells so unbelievably good! I use this exfoliator if i want lovely smooth legs if i'm wearing a dress or going out. It's got little beads in it and leaves my skin feel soft and smooth. I've now finished it and will be repurchasing a bigger container from Boots when i get back to the UK!

The Daily Smooth Body Butter

Another product i'm pretty much out of, this body butter once again smells sooo good, it moistures and replenishes my skin and leaves it feeling beautifully soft and it's the perfect consistancy. I use it every single time i get out of the shower on my arms and legs and i love it, it's something else i'll be repurchasing!

Clean on Me Shower Gel

This is the little travel version which came in the set, but i also had the big size which i bought separately - and i've gone through both! I've done a more in depth review here if you'd like to take a look, but in a nutshell it smells gorgeous, lathers up brilliantly and leaves you feeling all moisturized and smelling yummy.

I always use one of these puffy things (could somebody please tell me what they're called? I can't remember for the life of me!) This is just a cute pink one which came with the set :)

Hola Chickas!

I've been bitten alive my mossies and am literally fighting the biggest urge EVER to scratch the 10 bites on my legs. Mosquito bites are one of my biggest annoyances, along with slow PCs (Apple Macs all the way) and sitting still - i'm impatient!

I tried my hair in a centre parting the other day (yes yes, i know i'm a bit behind the times) and let's just say i didn't leave the house. I look okay from some angles and err... not so okay from others! I think i'll be sticking to my 'comfort zone' deep side parting from now on!

I also spent way too much time last week pimpin' mah iPhone 3g. I had to jailbreak it to make an Australian sim work in an English phone, so whilst i was there i thought i'd quickly change the theme to a very cool Chanel one. It turns out that i didn't manage to do it that 'quickly' and it instead took me 4 hours, it's all worth it though!

Let me know if you want me to show you how to do it, then i'll post a little tutorial on here :)

I have never tried a brown nail varnish before and as soon as i received this i completely dismissed it thinking i wouldn't like it. Wrong. I think this colour is classy and different - very nice!

Vampira Polish

Long gone were the days when black nail varnish was only worn by goths! I love this nail colour - it has tiny specks of subtle red glitter which adds something a little extra to your average black nail polish.

Rain Polish

This one is most definitely in the running for one of my favorites of the bunch, it looks pretty, dainty and isn't 'in your face' as some of the other colours might be. If you spend over £10/$15/€11 on the eyeko website, type in 'Rain' at the eyeko checkout you'll recieve this lovely for free! (not valid with any other code!)

Chi Chi Polish

My inner-magpie got very excited when it saw this arrive on my door step! I did feel a little bit like a 5-year-old when i applied it though, it's very pretty but the consistency is a bit on the watery side and i think you'd probably need 3 coats for a good coverage.

Punk Polish

I think this one wins the title of 'my favorite' it's just a fun, bright, neon pink which applies perfectly and looks amazing!

Saucy Polish

This can only really be described as blood red, it looks very glamorous and if you're a red sorta gal then this should probably be in your collection.

Coral Polish

This is a (very) bright, warming and pretty colour, i think it's probably got a bit much red in it for it to be considered 'coral' but it's very pretty nevertheless and i've been wearing it a lot since i've received it.

I applied two coats of everything and they last a decent amount of time without chipping and they apply nicely. i've been pretty busy lately with my new school and decorating my room. I've been painting everything white - i think i'm developing a bit of an unhealthy obsession with all white rooms, i just think they look absolutely stunning. you can find some pictures of room decor inspirations in amongst my ever expanding group of pretty pictures somewhere on my tumblr account.

i found an old scrabble set the other day and took some pictures. the 'chin up' caption was inspired by this photo i found - i really like the tattoo!

speaking of tattoos (something else i'm developing an unhealthy obsession with) i got a black heart airbrushed just above my hip today for $2 at my little town's fair - bit of a rip off but i love it. it supposedly lasts about a week or so - hopefully it does! I'm not sure if i could ever get a real tattoo though, i have a very small pain threshold and i think i'm a bit too indecisive about what to get. I'd probably end up not liking it after about 3 days knowing me!

the picture above is of some very wise words from an eminem song (which is unbelievably good and i think you should listen to it!) i think it's pretty relevant to everybody :)

i haven't really done much in the form of beauty posts lately, i'll try and do something about that in the next couple of days!

On a Friday i pick up my little town's local newspaper and inside is a long list of people's houses where they are holding garage sales. It's basically like a boot fair but you just drive around to everyone's houses, the people stand in their garage and sell all of their unwanted things (normally vintage and retro goodies) for dirt cheap prices.

i'm so sorry for the complete lack of updates recently, but the internet in my house has been throwing a constant hissy fit over the past few weeks and hasn't been working well, but fear not - it's all fixed now. So expect to see a lot of my face in the near future - you lucky things!

My Perfect Shampoo & Conditioner!

About 2-3 months ago, i went through a 'straightening' phase where i straightened my hair pretty much every day for a quite a while and unfortunately, it came with very grave consequences. Despite me religiously using a heat defence, my happy, healthy, long locks which i'd taken good care of for so long still managed to become all dry, damaged and split endy - not good!

I had very sad hair :(

So, after visiting the hair dressers to have a quick trim to get rid of some of the split ends, i set out on my quest for the perfect repairing shampoo and conditioner which would hopefully nourish my hair back to it's previous health.

I decided to try out these beauties and have been using them ever since...

TRESemme's Thermal Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner!

I can safely say that along with a ban of straighteners (other than doing my fringe) these two treasures have helped me on my way to fully recovered hair!

Admittedly they might not be everyone's cup of tea but i literally feel as though my locks are receiving a deep treatment every single time i've used them (especially the conditioner). They've injected moisture into my hair leaving it happy, soft and full of life again :)

They haven't fixed all of the split ends and dryness in my hair completely, but i'd say they've left it pretty damn close!

I love this set of shampoo and conditioner and will continue to repurchase them for quite a while.

Unfortunatley, it's a bit 'kiddish' because when i was decorating it i was going through a Pink Stage. I've done my best to try and get rid of most of it, but there was just too much haha! This sits above my full length mirror and i made it myself by cutting pretty things from magazines and sticking them to a piece of paper, and then putting it in a frame from Ikea. It's like the one on the shelves above my bed, but twice as big!

These hooks from Bombay Duck are the same as the ones which i hang my jewellery from.

This bag is from River Island and was purchased the other day before i left! I absolutely LOVE it and it was £35 :)

Current Obsession: Coral

Recently i've been loving the colour coral, i'm not really sure why but for some reason i've just been drawn to it. I think it's a really pretty colour for summer and compliments my skin quite nicely :)

If i don't fancy wearing a bright coral top, then i'll try to incorperate it by wearing a bracelet, neckalce, nail polish or lipstick.

I love these two lispticks, the Barry M one (on the left) is more of an orangy coral, it's moisturising and can easily be built up.

I was given a few lipsticks from a Maybelline event last year from the Colour Sensational range and this was one of my favorite colours. It's highly pigmented and is such a bright pinky-coral, it's got lovely pigmentation and stays put for quite a while!

I love Barry M nail paints, i think they're amazing value, quality and come in a wide variety of colours.

I've been eyeing up about 10 colours recently (no exaggeration!) and i recently picked up a few which featured on my long list. All of these polishes are available from Superdrug for £2.95 each but there's a '2 for £5' deal on at the moment which is why i picked up four haha.

I chose colours which i wouldn't normally go for (my entire nail polish collection is pretty much pinks!)

I applied a base coat before doing 2 coats for best colour pay off :)

'Grey' 293

This colour came out a bit darker than it looks in the bottle & it's got blueish tones in it - i think it looks quite sophisticated :)

'Navy' 292

I've been eyeing this up for a very long time, it's unusual but i love it! Big celebs like Lindsay Lohan and Lauren Conrad have been spotted sporting navy blue nails!

'Bright Purple' 303

I don't own a purple nail polish and i really like this colour! It's a very berry-ish and i think it looks lovely :)

'Racing Green' 299

This is probably one of my favorite nail polishes ever! I picked it up because it most definitely isn't something i'd normally choose and i'm so glad i did. It's so different and i was surprised at how nice it looked!

You may have noticed i've made some changes to my blog, do you like it or prefer it how it was before? Let me know!

I bought a couple of random bits and pieces recently and i thought i'd show you :)

I went to Tk-Maxx and picked up the white wire heart basket and the TiGi Curls Rock Curl Amplifier. I love everything which has a shabby chic 'vibe' to it, and the heart will look lovely in my room (i just need to find some things to put in it!)

The TiGi Curl Amplifier

"This amplifying cream will define and separate curls and waves while adding volume, texture and shine"

One thing i find with TiGi products is that they don't really come with very clear directions, so after trying it out a few times i decided it was best on damp hair (if you put it in dry hair it gives a yucky crispy effect). I apply 1 pump, evenly distributing it and scrunch it - it eliminates frizz and helps to create/curl my hair.

It's around £10 in salons but in TK Maxx it was reduced to £6 (the only reason i bought it). I wouldn't buy it for the full price though, i don't think it's worth it.

I picked these three things up at a boot fair i went to on the weekend, i love boot fairs for picking up vintage items for a very cheap price :) and yes i know that a pearl is missing from the bracelet, i got it caught on the car door :(

Yes, i know i'm about 9 days late with the ol' June Faves but i've been such a busy bee lately that i haven't really had much time to blog! (Work experience - boooo hissss!)

Barry M Lip Gloss in Number 4

I'm not really a lip gloss person (i find them really annoying way too much work) but i really love this one! It's got a gorgeous colour and you don't need a lipstick underneath, it's the perfect consistancy, it's got pretty shimmers in it and it smells uh-maz-ing!

L'Oreal Super Liner in Carbon Gloss

I love this liquid eyeliner! It is majorly black (blacker than black!) and it's so easy to apply - brilliant for whether you want a thicker or a thinner line. The only thing i can fault it on is the fact that it might not last all day and sometimes flakes.

I am a huge fan of Barry M and i love their Nail Paints! This one is the perfect Barbie pink :)

Pan Oxyl Aqua Gel in 2.5

I do suffer from blemishes quite often (damn you oily skin!) and i can honestly say this has solved it completely. It contains a chemical called Benzyl Peroxide which dries out the skin and basically gets rid of the spot! I swear by this stuff, if i ever have a spot i'll just pop a little bit of this on before i go to bed and by the next morning it'll be gone or drastically better. It comes in three strengths - 2.5, 5 and 10. I strongly recommend getting the 2.5 or the 5 as the 10 should only really be recommended by a doctor (it's very drying!). TiGi Bedhead Ego Boost - Split End Mender

I use little bit of this on the ends of my hair when it's about 70% dry, and it basically seals the ends of my together. It's supposed to get rid of all split ends and i have actually noticed a slight improvement in my hair since i've started to use it recently!

17 Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Mint Choc Chip

I don't particularly like the consistancy of this and i think the brush could've done with being a little bigger but i love the colour of this nail polish! It's so different to what i normally wear and i think it's a nice change.

This was sent to me a little while ago as part of the launch of No7's limited edition Summer Collection. I've been on the look out for a new affordable bronzer for yonks and i think i've finally found one which suits me perfectly. It's more matte than shimmer (great for me as i have visible pores around my nose - shimmer will just enhance them) and has a nice colour gradient with warm tones - perfect for summer!

Oodles of Poodles Puppies!

Hello lovelies!

I went down to my nan and grandad's house last weekend near the seaside to see some very special bundles of fluff :)

Their standard poodles, Izzie, had had 7 puppies 6 weeks earlier and i decided to take some pictures for you!

There were 3 left to be sold when i was there but now they've all gone :(

They were so cute, playful and gangly - their legs were so long and they kept on falling over themselves :)

They kept on chewing me haha!

We decided to give Charlie a bath...

N'awwwh!

He was so good, he just sat there and looked a little sad :)

After a blowdry he was all nice and fluffy haha :)

They were all so adorable and i wish i could've taken one home but it probably would've eaten my cats :(

How to Dye Your Hair With Lemons!

Hidy ho!

I've never dyed my hair before, with the exception of a wash-out red Nice'n'Easy when i was ten - it turned my hair pink, exciting stuff!

In the sun my hair tends to go quite a bit lighter but as i live in England, i don't tend to see it very often :(

Over the winter i found that my hair dulls down which makes me a little sad because i like being a light blondie!

I really wanted lighter hair but i didn't want to do it myself with a DIY box from the drug store (i would probably end up with green hair) and going to a salon would have been too much money so when i found out about the lemons i thought i'd give them a shot!

I think this style may only work with light hair colours but it might bring out lighter tones in darker brunettes (i think darker brunettes can use vinegar - google it!!)

I have quite long and thick hair so i probably should have used 3-4 lemons instead of 2 but it was my first time at doing it so i didn't want to muck it up!

Short Hair = 1-2 lemons

Medium Hair = 2-3 lemons

Long Hair= 3-4 lemons

1. Juice the lemons and then put into the bowl.

2. Add the water to the lemon juice until there is enough to cover your whole hair (try to make this as little amount as possible - you want way more lemons than water! I used about 3 tablespoons)

3. Cover your hair - root to tips - in the mix (you might want to do this over a sink so you don't make a mess!)

4. After you've applied the mix, you might want to put a towel around your shoulders to stop your clothes from getting wet as the lemon might bleach them.

5. Sit in the sunshine until your hair dries naturally!

(These photos were taken in different lighting, and the 'after' shot is actually a little lighter than reality!)

As far as i'm aware the 'dye' is permanent which is good! As you can see it hasn't changed my hair colour drastically but it has lightened it and bought out some natural highlights (especially the bits that are most exposed to the sun, like the front and the ends).

I really really love the effect this gave my hair and i'm definitely going to be doing it more frequently so i can build up a nice light colour for summer. I think i'll do it again over the weekend - providing the sun has got his hat on!

I then went to Forever21 and i can honestly say i really wasn't very impressed - it didn't really live up to the hype. Maybe it was just the particular time i went but it's just basically a mixture between New Look and Primark. I picked up the white t-shirt (on the right) it's just really baggy and would look nice with a few necklaces and a good pair of jeans.

Sleek MakeUp's Pout Polish

Hey y'all!

I was sent Sleek Make Up's Pout Polish in Raspberry Soufflé and it was a very nice unexpected surprise (:

As far as i'm aware there is 4 permanent colours and Sleek are releasing two limited edition colours for the summer. This one is Raspberry Soufflé and the other is Lemon Meringue - which is a clear one with yellow pigments.

The colour is absolutely gorrrgeous!

It's really buildable, you can dab a teeny weeeny bit on for very sheer coverage (which i like to wear to school, it's very subtle and just makes my lips looks a bit prettier and i can lie and say it's my natural lip colour haha - cheeky!) Or you can slap the stuff on and it could easily be worn on a night out!

It's supposed to give the properties of a lip balm (moisturizing goodness!) and the appearance of a lipgloss. I'm normally not one for lipglosses but i loved the way this felt. Not too sticky and not too runny - perfect! The glossiness doesn't last too long but the colour lasts a very long time.

I don't think i'll pick up the yellowish one, as i don't really see it going with my skin tone but i'm really excited to have a look at the other Pout Polishes they've got (especially Pink Cadillac!)

These Streets Will Make You Feel Brand New...

As promised, here are a few pictures from New York! I didn't take too many photos, i was too busy videoing everything haha (:

This ice-cream actually tasted a bit rank, it was warm (not sure how they managed that?!) and the sprinkles were bleugh, but it looked good ;)

The sign in the second photo made me laugh so much!

We went to Mc Donalds and the smallest meal they had was a '2 Cheeseburger Meal'!! The guy was so confused and a little shocked when we asked him just for one.

There were so many amazing shops on 5th Av! I loooved this display window by Louis Vuitton.

We went on a road trip to Boston and stopped at a few places on the way, i have to say some of those little towns are the cutest little places in the world. I'd love to live in this little cottage, it's back garden was the beach!

We also stopped at the Hamptons, it was like stepping into another world, the houses were ginormous and the high street didn't have post offices or a butchers, instead they had Prada and Ralph Lauren shops. Mental!

This was a cheeky little squirrel in Boston Park (below) he was obviously used to humans and was so fat from all the pretzels people fed him he waddled instead of walking haha!

It was an amazing trip, and i saw some really beautiful places!

It took a while getting used to all the American words and hearing 'Totally Awsome!' all the time! (I can confirm they do actually say that and it's not just in the movies)

I just wanted to thank everyone for their recommendations of places to see and things to do, it helped a lot. I'll be doing a post to show you all what i got very soon (:

Nails Inc and Diet Coke

I'm back from New York now and i had a lovely time, pictures coming up soon of the trip and my purchases (:

Nails Inc have teamed up with Diet Coke and are giving away a nail polish for free when you purchase two 500ml bottles of Diet Coke!

There are four colours in total, New York - a bright fusia pink, Milan - a hot firey red, London - a cool nude colour and Paris is a deep purple.

Now, i'm not really one for the Diet Coke vibe (i'm a pepsi person) but i know i'd definiatley pick up a couple'a bottles if it meant i could have one of these bad boys!

I was sent New York and Milan to try out a while ago and i have to say i really do love the colours of these nail polishes!

I'm wearing Milan right now and it's quite an intense red, i feel a bit like a vampire - not sure why though, since when have vampires worn red nails?!

I haven't had time to take a picture of New York and post it up here (exams, exams, exams) but i'll try to do one a bit later.

This picture does in no way do this colour justice! I'm not sure what's going on with my camera but i can assure you it looks a lot more like the picture above than this one.

It applies really well and looks great. The downside to this nail polish, if i'm honest, has to be that it chips quite badly but the colours are so good i'm not too bothered about applying two coats and a top coat.

I'll be picking up Paris ASAP as it looks like such a gorgeous colour (:

A Little Update

Firstly, i'd like to apologise for my lack of updating, i have my gcse's at the moment and i've been pretty busy revising for them!

Also i just wanted to say a ma-hu-sive thank you to all of you for your amazing support! I've now hit 600 hundred followers which is absolutely amazing! Thank you for all of your comments, emails and suggestions, every single one puts a big cheesy grin on my face :)

Now onto the question, which i need your help with!

Well...

I'm going to New York this weekend for one week - it was my birthday present and i'm going with my family, can anybody who's been to the Big Apple before please recommend some interesting things to do/places to see/shops to.. err.. shop in? :)

I went to Primark on Saturday and picked up a few bits and pieces and i thought i'd share them with you all.

Pink Kabuki Brush

I use this brush to apply bronzer or to wipe away any fall out from eye shadows under my eyes. It's ridiculously soft and i love it just as much as my foundation/concealer brush i bought from Primark (HERE).

Black Jumper and Jeggings

I've never really caught onto the whole 'jeggings' craze, so i decided to pick up a pair from Primark just to see how they looked. Unfortunately i have very long but skinny legs, so if i find a pair of trousers/leggings ect which fit length ways, they normally are too baggy for me - it's a nightmare! So, when i tried these on i realized that they were sadly also too big for me. Oh well, i'll have to try again another day!

The jumper is plain black with a scoop neck and has puffed out sleeves which i didn't even realize they had until i got home! I didn't like them at first but they're growing on me, they add something a little extra to a plain black jumper.

Kiss Nails Review

I was sent these products to review from a nail company called Kiss as they are launching a few new things and after trying them out i thought i'd tell you about them!

All of these products were released in March and are available now in selected Boots stores across the country.

I was given three sets of nails, two of the Clear Pink range in sizes Medium and Real Short and also a set of Petite sizes - for people with smaller nails.

These are the first acrylic nails i have ever tried, and i was thoroughly impressed!

Clear Pink Square Shape

'These give a little extra length to the white tip, with a clear nail bed. The look is a classic proffessional-looking French nail very similar to the popular UV Gel French applied in salons"

I was sent two sizes, Real Short and Medium. I decided that Medium was too long for me to wear(top left in the picture) that's just my opinion, if you are able to successfully wear nails this long without poking your eyes out i am impressed!

I also noticed they didn't have the tabs on which makes application easier, not too sure why?

Real Short however, was the perfect length for me so i decided to give them a go! The nails come with 14 sizes and 28 nails, so it was really easy to find the right sizes to fit your individual fingers. The nails have 'easy application tabs' (see below picture) i found that these helped so much and i was able to apply them effortlessly.

Also with the set you get Kiss' Pink Glue (which is very strong - i actually stuck my finger to my forehead whilst moving my hair out the way) a nail file and easy to follow instructions.

A couple of nails fell off after about 4 days, even though it says 7 day wear. Although, i did glue them back on and they lasted a bit longer!

They didn't chip once and i got so many compliments of people asking me where i got them done, and they were all very surprised to hear they were from boots!

I assume the petite sizes are exactly the same, but just for people with smaller nails/hands.

Overall i loved these nails and will definitely be repurchasing them again with my own money!

Mega Hold Press-On Tabs

These are supposed to do the exact same thing as nail glue, except not cause any damage to the nail bed.

The first thing i discovered with these was that they were too big for my nails, even though i was wearing the normal sized acrylics. So after attacking them with a pair of nail scissors, i got them to fit just right :)

They lasted about the same amount of time as using the glue, maybe a little less. The good news is that they didn't damage the nails whatsoever and they can be worn for any length of time, even a days wear.

The pack comes with 48 tabs, which is just right for 4 manicures, if you still want to wear acrylics and are concerned for the condition of your nails these would be your solution.

Draw-On French Tip Pen

I don't know about you, but i have tried countless times to do a french manicure myself, with those stickers and white nail polish... and i have always failed miserably. So when i heard Kiss were launching this i was so happy - finally i'd get to do my own manicures!

It's literally like a felt tip pen which you simply draw across the tops of your nails, It's really easy after a couple of attempts and once you get used to it. You have to do a base coat first (clear, pink, colour ect) then use the pen and then do a top coat - it really is that simple. The pen takes around 10 seconds to dry, so it's good for all the impatient nail painters out there (like me).

Not only can you do french manicures but you can also do polka dots, stripes or any other patterns. I'm currently supporting a lavender base, pretty white dots and a clear top coat to make sure it doesn't come off. The manicure will last as long as your top/base coat does.

It lasts for 50 manicures and it's definitely my favorite product and i will be repurchasing after this one runs out!

A Swap with Masie

A few weeks ago, the lovely Masie contacted me and asked if i'd like to do a swap with her! Even though we both live in the same country and have access to the same products i thought it was a cute idea so after exchanging a lot of emails we decided we'd do one!

I was lucky enough to get not one, but two Barry M nail polishes! One in Bright Pink, which i was going to purchase this weekend, lucky i didn't - it's the perfect Barbie Pink! And a gorgeous clear one with pretty pink sparkles called Pink Iridescent.

These all smell great and i can't wait to try them out :)

Sleek Palette in 'Original' and 2True Eyeshadow in 11

The colours in this Sleek Pallette are gorgeous! They're so pigmented and pretty and are great value! (at £5 per palette they are a steal) I already have Storm, i'm looking at getting them all :)

I asked for the Sunset palette but she couldn't find one, she even went to 2 shops - how sweeet! It's okay Masie, i love this one just as much :)

The 2True on is a pretty bronze colour and is loose.

Barry M Lip Paint in 100

This is by far my favorite item! I love love love this lipstick, it's a nude baby pink which, when applied, has hints of lavender in. I'll do a more detailed post another time, with swatches and what it looks like on, but i can't explain to you all how much i love this! Ahhh :)

I also got some gorgeous bath flowers but i don't have a picture because i deleted it - what a moron! But you can see them in the 4th picture - they smell amazing but i don't think i'll ever bring myself to use them because they're so pretty :)

I loved doing this swap with such a lovely girl, she's so sweet and has got me some gorgeous things! I enjoyed doing this and i've also made such an amazing friend :)

NOTD - Pretty Lavender

I never really caught on to the whole dark nail polish trend, i always found it made my hands look scrawny and a little sad :(

So i'm very happy it's now spring and pretty colours are becoming popular - especially pastels. I was browsing the Boots isles and came across this little beauty in Collection 2000, it's a very pretty pale lavender and i absolutely love it!

It has no added shimmer or shine to it, but it isn't matte. If that makes sense? I added a top coat to protect the colour :)

[The cut on my thumb is from my cat - she thought my hand was a mouse or something whilt i was asleep and decided to attack me. Pfft!]

It looks best with two coats but i think you could get away with one, it's actually a little darker than shown in the picture.

It's different to something i'd normally go for, i usually stick to the safe pink/nude nail polishes but i love this just as much and i have a feeling i'll be wearing it quite a lot.

It applies smoothly, drys reasonably fast and the brush is just the right size. It stay quite a long time with a top coat and it was very cheap - also there is a 2 Collection 2000 nail polishes for £3 in Boots!

Maybelline Colour Sensation Lipstick in Ambre Rose 112
I've been wearing this lipstick everyday, it's a really pretty pink with a little bit of shimmer - really gorgeous! I'd really reccomend any of the Colour Sensational lippys, they're hydrating, smell nice and the colours are absolutely amazing!

Cupcake pearl bracelet from Dorothy Perkins

When i saw this bracelet, i couldn't resist buying it! It's sooo cute and the little cupcake is adorable, i've been wearing it everyday over my school jumper. It was £6 i think :)

The Body Shop Lash + Brow GelI bought this when i was about 12, thinking it was clear mascara - what a doghnut! I have now figured out the proper way to use it - i brush it over my brows every day to make sure they stay in place! It works amazingly and lasts the entire day.

Phil Smith Xreme Style Shine Serum

I love this stuff! I use it after blowdrying my hair to eliminate frizz and it makes my hair sooo soft and shiny without it looking greasy. Love love love love loveeeeee!

The Body Shop Mattifying Moisture Gel

When i lost my moisturizer a while ago, i had to rumage through my skincare box and i came across this beaut, and i'm so glad i did! It's like a moisturizer but in a very liquidy gel form, designed especially for oily skin. It has extracts of Tea Tree oil which help fight blemishes and moisturizes without creating added grease or shine - perfect for those with oily skin!

I've noticed a vast improvement in the condition of my skin since using this stuff!

L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder

I bought this the other day in Superdrug as i needed a new powder, it does blend in really nicely and keeps my skin matte majority of the day - a new staple in my everyday routine.

Tresemme Heat Defense Spray

I really like this because it sprays like a mist when it comes out of the bottle, making it easier to cover the whole of your hair with less of the product and making it dry quicker. It smells lovely and works really well - full marks all round!

A Brilliant Find!

I have wanted to try out a foundation/concealer brush for a while so before spending a lot of money on one without even knowing if i would like it seemed a bit ridiculous! So after seeing this cheap and cheerful one on Masie's blog (who is lovely and i'm doing a swap with her!) i thought it was a great opportunity to try one out.

The brush is from Primark and yes, you heard correctly! I never have, and probably never will trust any of Primark's makeup. Not because i'm a makeup snob but because my skin is reasonably sensitive and decides to play up whenever i use anything from there. (Me, last christmas, a gift which involved a Primark lipgloss... well, lets just say it didn't go down too well!)

Despite my fear of anything from the makeup section of Primark, i can safely say that i will not need to be purchasing any other brush as this one is uh-maz-ings!

It is pretty and pink (and the colour hasn't faded when washed or used - and i have done so everyday), it has two ends; one for concealer and the other for foundation, it is so soft and has not yet shed one hair, it gives me a flawless look to my foundation, it makes it easier to apply and i can safely say i am never ever going back to using my fingers!

Full marks all round!

Oh, and i forgot to mention... it is only £1.50!

Whether you already have a foundation/concealer brush or whether you are considering starting to use one - i strongly suggest you go and pick this up as i adore it and it's hardly going to make too much of a dent in your pocket!

Review: Clinique Superbalance Makeup

I thought i'd do a review on my current foundation for you all today, which i apply daily and have been using for months.

This was my first liquid foundation and was purchased from the Clinique stall in Boots for £18, which is more than i'd ever think of spending on a foundation - it was a bit of a spontaneous purchase really! It's probably more than i'd ever be prepared to pay for a foundation as i don't have a job, and don't have as much money at the moment.

The foundation matches and blends into my skin very easily (i use my fingers, not enough time to faff about with a brush in the morning!) with no streaks and hasn't, for me anyway, given me any blemishes and in fact has improved the condition of my skin!

It claims to 'absorb oil where oil control is needed; moisturizes where hydration is needed'

Although as i have oily skin I find that this foundation does, in no way, control any oil i have and i have to wear quite a lot of powder as i find it makes my skin very shiny!

I don't own a primer and i find that about halfway through the day this begins to rub off, and towards the end, there is none left completely! I think it either has no staying power, or i might just have to invest in a primer.

It's a very lightweight formula, and gives light-moderate coverage and is perfect for people who don't have many spots and just want to even out their skin tone. I think it would be great for a first liquid foundation for somebody as it is in no way heavy, blends very easily into the skin and requires no work.

You also don't need that much of it to cover your entire face and a little most definitely goes a long way. I purchased this in early November 2009 and I have only just gone past the halfway mark last week and i use this everyday without fail... pretty impressive eh?

But on the downside... the bottle is awful and can sometimes get very messy. A pump won't cost much! Come on Clinique, sort it out.

I'll be moving onto a foundation with more coverage after this one, but i'm quite enjoying using it at the moment!

Rimmel 'I Love Lasting Finish' Nail Polish in 020 Double Decker Red

As i had £3 left over, nail polishes were the only things that were cheap enough for me to buy on the site and i had been eyeing this one up for a while!

Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment! I'm extremely impatient when doing my nails, therefore i only do one coat and seeming as this was a nail polish which claimed it was 'chip-resistant' I was sold.

After just one day of wearing it, the ends of my nails were chipped and just looked awful. Admittedly the colour was nice but the whole 'Lasting Finish' m'larky is a big load of lies!

Jewellery Storage

After tidying my room, i thought i'd show you how i organize my jewellery :)

I will be doing a post on how i store my hair/makeup/skincare products some time soon, but i'm currently doing up my room and slowly getting rid of the huuuge amount of pink stuff i have in it!

I use two hooks for my jewellery which i wear regularly. One for bracelets and the other for necklaces, any other jewellery is stored in one of my pink boxes (which are visible in the top left of the picture above, they were very inexpensive and from Ikea.)

The hooks are from a pack of six of assorted colours, and are from a company called Bombay Duck, i am actually in love with everything on this site so please check it out!

Of course, you don't have to buy these you can just make your own! Get a long screw, put it into the wall, wrap and glue some ribbon around the screw that is still visible and maybe stick a pretty fake flower of some sort on the end! And it will probably cost less than £2 :)

Last Saturday (over a week ago - i'm so rubbish at taking pictures and getting them uploaded quickly!) i went shopping with one of my gorgeous best friends Elle (HERE)

We went to a Primark on the way to Westfields and i bought a few bits :)

Both Elle and i bought a pair of these! I think they're really soft and are very Ambercrombie and Fitch-ish and i laaave them :)

This skirt is very swingers 50's style and poofs out quite nicely! It had a belt that came with it, but it was really chavvy so i took it off haha!

When you set out for a face powder from The Body Shop...

... You get harassed by a sales assistant and you come home with the wrong colour powder that makes you look like you've just been tangoed.

Well, that was my experience anyway!

I've been needing a new powder for agessss and i've always wanted to try out The Body Shop's makeup, so what better opportunity to combine the two.

After deciding on the Pressed Face Powder, the assistant insisted that she matched my colour. So i let her and she was adamant that the slightly darker shade would not look orange but would give me a bit of colour and that it would blend into my skin nicely, and i foolishly trusted her.

If i put the tiniest amount on you can't really notice it, but if i put the amount i require on (which isn't that much anyway) i genuinely look like a walking orange.

I may as well just buy a hot pink, too small for me, fake, juicy couture tracksuit and some large hoop earrings to pull off the look!

I've decided to use it as a bronzer, and i must admit i quite like it but i did just waste £11 of my money.

I'd love to give you a review, really i would, but i can't test it out because i'd look like an idiot, sorry!

Rescued!

I've been wanting a pair of pink Ghds for ages now, and just as i was about to go and buy some with my christmas money, my lovely matey just casually told me she was throwing away a pair because she'd got some new ones.

errr... what?!

She then remembered i was about to buy a pair and offered me them.

I am quite possibly the happiest girl on earth :)

So without further ado, i present to you all my lovely new (well, to me anyway) pair of hot pink ghds :)

Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend!

Wow. Wow. Wow.

I am still in shock! As some of you may, or may not, have known i entered Zoe's Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend contest and to my complete and utter amazement i actually won! :O

I am very very lucky and a bit honoured really to have been awarded First in the UK and as my prize i have been given a £50 ASOS voucher.

I am a very happy bunny :)

Here are the two pictures i entered:

I made a pretty and subtle mask-like design with all silver and white with no colour!

For the mask i used Vaseline as a glue substance and painted the loose silver glitter in the shape i wanted.

I then used some more Vaseline (it's really good stuff you know!) to stick on the stars symmetrically on the mask.

Afterwards, i stuck some diamontes from Hobbycraft in the centre of the stars and voila! I was done!
